Enroll your child for free monthly books!

Inspire your child's love of reading with Dolly Parton's Imagination Library.

Thanks to the generous gift from Thomas Bangasser, Africatown Community Land Trust (ACLT) has launched a partnership with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library to increase youth literacy in the greater Seattle area.

Recognizing that over 90% of language development occurs in the first few years of life, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library prioritizes providing access to young readers by getting age-appropriate books into the hands of enrolled children and their families via mail. This service is provided to children regardless of household income.

Do you live in King County? Do you have a child younger than 5?

How do I Enroll My Child?

What happens if I move?

Once you have a new address, you will need to update your DPIL account with a new email address.

Here is how you can update your mailing address:

  1. You can log in to your parent's account using these instructions to change your address.
    1. Go to https://imaginationlibrary.com
    2. Choose country and click PARENT LOGIN on the top of the screen.
    3. A new window will open at the top of the screen, asking for a username and password. Your username is the email you used to register your account for the first time. This will allow access to your account to update an address or see what book is being mailed this month.
    4. You may also select LOGIN RECOVERY and enter your email address for password assistance. A temporary password will be sent within 5-10 minutes. Please check your spam filter settings so any email from noreply@imaginationlibrary.com is not marked as junk mail.

When does the first book arrive?

Your child will begin receiving books through the U.S. Postal Services six to eight weeks after the registration form has been received.

Is there any cost to me?
